Back under the stars of the Lone Star State
Howdy, all! I am back from Charlotte and happy to be home. Yesterday, my wife drove 2 hours north to pick me up from DFW Airport, and then we traveled 2 hours south (after a break for dinner) back to my in-laws house, getting in about 10:30pm or 11:00pm. The video below is filmed in the office of my kind cousin-in-law, and his generosity was very helpful as it is the only place in this house at this time of night where I think I could get enough light for decent video. (In return for his kindness, let me give him a plug: You have no idea what brisket is supposed to taste like until you’ve tasted his. Mmmmmmm… I’d tell you how to contact him to get some for yourself, but then that would be less for me, wouldn’t it!)
Though I say “decent video”, it will have the same sound-sync problem that the last one did, as I used the webcam again. One day I will figure out how to use that, but not today! I will try and return to the regular video camera next week.
I hope your week has gone well. I am really looking forward to coming back and telling you all of the exciting things happening with the work! You will hear some of them in the announcements tomorrow and I will not preempt any of that here, but there are additional tales to be told, and it was wonderful getting to hear about things first hand. God certainly has been busy!
Take much care, and I hope all you have a wonderful Thanksgiving next week.
Looking with you to His coming and His Kingdom –
Wallace Smith
