Howdy, everyone! My apologies that the post and greetings are so late this evening — I imagine that many of you will not see them until Sabbath morning, if then. It has been a long day, and while my post-sundown activity has certainly been “Sabbathy” this is simply the first opportunity I have really had to take care of things.
I hope you are all well! I talked to many of you today to check on your circumstances. I hope we are all remembering to pray for one another — and more than that, if it is in our power to visit or call or lend a hand, I hope we are doing that, as well. While I have allowed many circumstances to allow me to forget the truth of James 2:15-17 too often, we should never be satisfied with our own personal status quo.
I’ve still got a sermon preparation to wrap up before my head hits the pillow, so I will leave things here. The video greetings for this Friday Night — or, if need be, Sabbath morning! — can be found below. (The topic discussed in part of the video about what we should do with offenses will be elaborated on in my sermon tomorrow in St. Louis.)
Howdy, everyone! The title of this post comes from the fact that I shot the video for tonight last night. Since we will be in Joplin by this evening (God willing) I was unsure what our internet connection circumstance would be, so it seemed like a good idea to tape early. But I still wish you a great Friday night!
We are very excited about the Joplin weekend and getting to see so many the brethren there, including Mr. & Mrs. Charles Ogwyn who will be visiting from Charlotte. I will be giving the Bible Study there tomorrow morning; it’s just about ready, although I still have a bit more work to do. I will try and cover the same material in our own area, so those of you who aren’t able to come to Joplin won’t miss out. (Actually, I am working on an LCN article on the same topic.)
There are some updates to recent prayer requests in announcements tomorrow, so keep an ear open. We hope to add a password-protected Prayer Request section of the website soon, but until then we will keep such info in the verbal announcements at services.
The FNG video is below (and my thanks to A.B. who helped me to remove the titles that YouTube has been automatically adding). We love you and will be thinking of you this Sabbath — take care!
If you are viewing this on Internet Explorer, I hope you notice that the sidebar is finally back! My thanks to our new webmaster for helping me figure out what was going wrong. For the techincally minded out there who are just too curious, just let me know and I will be happy to explain, but suffice it to say that it was a small detail and that it’s amazing how many problems a good Google search will help you solve.
This week’s Friday Night Greetings are below. I hope all is well with all of you! We are looking forward to seeing our brothers and sisters in Rolla, tomorrow — and with such pleasant weather to boot! Looks as though it will be a wonderful Sabbath.
