Hungry, yet?
Howdy, everyone. I don’t know if you are reading this before sundown or after sundown, but regardless I hope that your fast this Sabbath gets off to a good start. Not only is this fast that Mr. Meredith has called a vital step to take in drawing close to God and seeking the fruit and gifts of His spirit, but it is also a fitting action to take here in the lead up to Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread. In the video below, I give some of my thoughts on this for our area, and I am looking forward to seeing the video from Mr. Meredith tomorrow in services.
Let me just add here a reference to the mid-week post I wrote before this one and point again to the “For 3/28 Fast” tab above. That new page contains the text of Chapter 22 from Mr. Armstrong’s autobiography, which I believe is a brief-but-excellent read for this period of fasting, with a needed reminder of many basic ideas. Also, let me highlight the new calendar available both at the top right of this home page as well as at the new tab above, which takes you to a larger calendar. We plan to keep this up-to-date as a resource for general locations and dates for local events. There is more about this in the announcements tomorrow, and my thanks to Mr. Ben Graham for adding this feature.
The Friday Night Greetings video is below, and I pray that this Sabbath and this fast is a profitable one for all of us.
(P.S. The “thing” you see on my lip in this video is not lipstick, honest! It is simply the wonderful result of the fever blister that the Columbia congregation got to see develop during the sermon last Sabbath. Thankfully, this one seems to be healing up pretty quickly!)
