Howdy, everyone! How wonderful that the Sabbath is here. I know it has been a difficult week for many of you, and I pray that this Sabbath is a welcome relief and a chance to reflect on the deeper things of God and the peace that is available only through Him.
(By the way: For those of you who are going to the Regional Conference in May, I do have information about what hotel to book at and such — if you haven’t heard from me by the end of the day Monday, feel free and annoy me till I spill the beans. )
Our love to everyone, and we look forward to seeing you over the next few weeks. The video for tonight is below (sorry for the wind noise, which is a bit louder than I had expected).
Posting a bit late tonight, but not as late as I have before! (Sometimes, you take success wherever you can…)
The somewhat rambling (surprised?) Friday Night Greetings video is below. Have a wonderful Sabbath, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone in Columbia tomorrow!
My apologies! Even after sundown today, between sermon preparation and time with my family I was not able to squeeze in Friday Night Video.
(And besides, haven’t you all seen enough of me? )
My thanks to Ben Graham for getting the recipes that he has received up at the Unleavened Bread Recipes tab — check them out! Next year, we’ll try to get these going much earlier in the days leading up to the holy days, as opposed to the very beginning. My brain just didn’t work that fast this year! But Ben has responded admirably (see the previous post), and I do appreciate it. His address was given in last week’s Sabbath services announcements.
As a final comment, if you have not yet seen or heard Mr. Rod King’s sermon on “The Third Law”, I do highly recommend it during these Days of Unleavened Bread. You can find it here, where you can stream audio or video or download it and save it on your own computer. Very fitting for these days we are now observing.
Greetings brethren this is Ben! If you all take a gander at the navigation bar going across the top of your screen that starts with “About us” you will notice an unleavened recipes page has been added. Feel free to send me recipes at your convenience! I shall post them as soon as I see them.
I hope all of you are enjoying/enjoyed your Night to be Much Observed. I know I did, I also cannot move from how much food I partook of. Anyways, I need to set up an email specifically to correspond with the brethren, and maybe not use the screen name I have used since I was 12.
Howdy, all! Keeping it quick, today — I hope your Sabbath (ours has just now begun) is off to a wonderful start. With a baptism today, one tomorrow and one scheduled for Sunday, we’re in a great mood here in the Smith household!
Here’s the Friday Night Greetings for this weekend. Have a fantastic Sabbath, and we’ll see you all, God willing, over the next couple of weeks!
Howdy, all! It has taken a bit of work, and I do apologize that it is so late, but the Speaking Schedule for the 2nd Quarter of 2009 is finally up. You can access it on the right under the “Local Speaking Schedule” link. As usual, our local username and password will be needed.
I would not be surprised if there are some needed revisions in there, but hopefully any future changes to this schedule will be small.
