Howdy, everyone! I’m writing a bit late, but I must say that it was wonderful to see one more person added to the Body of Christ, today! More details in the announcements tomorrow.
Let me encourage everyone (and I will say this in the announcements tomorrow, as well) to make certain that they know where the upcoming services are held over the next few days. If you are baptized, you need to know where Passover services are held and when they will start Sunday evening. Everyone, baptized or not, needs to know where the Night To Be Much Observed is being held in your area on Monday evening, and then be sure you know where services will be on the First Day of Unleavened Bread, in the event it is held at a different location that usual (meeting on a weekday sometimes requires us to meet in a new place).
Have a wonderful Sabbath! The Friday Night Greetings video is below…
Howdy, everyone! Not much to say here tonight — I’ll leave that stuff to the video below. I will add here that the “goodbye” get together in Kansas City for the Ways and our family was very nice last Sunday, and I appreciate their including us. We have loved being a part of this area and will miss everyone. The dinner at the Grahams’ on Saturday evening was awesome, as well. I didn’t know that you could fit that many people in the Grahams’ house! I bet we set a record! Thanks to all who were able to come out for the good food and great fellowship.
Howdy, all! I hope your Sabbath is off to a good start. The Friday Night Greetings for tonight is below.
In that video, I refer to a yeast product that is not used as a leavening agent, but I could not think of the name. The product I had in mind is autolyzed yeast or yeast extract. There are other ingredients, as well, that may say “yeast” in the name but which are not actually leavening agents, just as there are ingredients that do not mention yeast at all, such as baking powder. Spiritual lesson? Sometimes sin is not so obvious: something seemingly sinful may not be so, and something that may seem harmless may, in fact, be sinful.
That’s why — among other reasons — I love the Days of Unleavened Bread! They are full of lessons like that. I have, for years, kept a written record of the lessons I have learned about sin and our struggle against it in the days leading up to and during the Spring Holy Day season, and I heartily recommend that you do the same.
Again, the video is below. Have a wonderful Sabbath!
Howdy, everyone, and I hope that you Sabbath is off to a good start. It’s amazing what a week, it’s been — I was reviewing last week’s Friday Night Greetings video, and I’m amazed at how much has transpired in just one week. I discuss a bit more in the video, but let me repeat here what I say there: thanks to all of you for your prayers. We love you and appreciate you, so much.
(I apologize, by the way, that the video has come out so late. I experienced numerous difficulties with YouTube tonight, possibly because the video was 8 seconds longer than 10 minutes, and resorted to doing an iPhone video as a hopeful short cut around those difficulties — so, hopefully better late is than never!)
You may note in the announcements this Sabbath that Mr. Adam West has been assigned to help out in this area after my move, probably in a very similar manner to what I did while I was training in Kansas City. If you haven’t checked it out yet, let me highlight it for you: I have added Mr. West’s blog “Path Pondering” to the Blogroll of this website on the right (just under the calendar). Feel free to click and check it out!
Also, let me say here that whether or not we will be able to have a monthly Bible Study in March is very much up in the air at this point. We will have to travel to Ohio sometime next week to be there for the house inspection and other complications may make it difficult. But I haven’t given up on it, so stay tuned!
The Friday Night Greetings video is below. Take care, and have a wonderful Sabbath.
